Why Choose Maxine?
“Every Story of Love is a Story I Love to Tell”
My Dad, Ted
I have my dad to thank for being a celebrant. Before he died, we talked of many things including the fact that I had not yet found my vocation. When he passed, I organised his funeral and read at it, still not thinking much about it. Following his death, I was made redundant from my corporate role and started life coaching, which I still do to this day. Using my coaching techniques, I took time to think about what really mattered to me. And what really makes me happy is understanding people and helping them to celebrate their brilliance and uniqueness.
Love is both brilliant and unique. Be it in remembrance of a life passed, a celebration of meeting the love of your life or welcoming a new person into the world. Being a celebrant is my vocation and my dad helped me to realise that.
About me
I am a creator at heart and love the process of designing a ceremony or service that is highly personalised and unique to you. Words are everything, so I take great care in capturing the perfect tone and sentiment for each occasion.
In addition, I have strong project management skills and years of experience organising stunningly successful events. Which means your ceremony will run so smoothly that you won’t need to worry.
Why choose me?
Because my warm, compassionate nature and background as a life coach enables me to instantly put people at ease and get the best from them. As a trained speaker and presenter, I will also ensure that your ceremony is delivered with professionalism, poise and meticulous attention to detail. Everything you want and need from a celebrant.
Become a celebrant
Being a celebrant is a joyous thing. I adore welcoming new life or identities, creating beautiful wedding or renewal vows and helping families say goodbye to a loved one. It’s a privilege and an honour to do what I do. That’s why I’m now a Professional Celebrant Trainer with the International College of Professional Celebrants.
